Standard Prep is Our Default Mode
- The focus and goal is to make sure the surfaces are solid, sealed and fully protected and the appearance improved, with a specific focus on high visibility areas.
- Surfaces will be properly and soundly prepared and painted for a fresh appearance.
- Cracks, gaps, open nail pops and holes will be will be repaired in the surfaces that are seen from eye level.
- Trim will be scuff sanded, large divots and nicks patched and sanded, cracks and gaps caulked, and spot primed prior to painting.
- Paint lines will be cut as straight as possible given underlying surfaces.
- However, an older home often shows the wear and tear of age — and based on the current condition, there may be blemishes left with the underlying surfaces.
Basic Prep is Our Budget Mode
Appropriate for rental properties, or homes that are being placed on the market.
Fine Prep is for Discriminating Tastes*
More time spent on prep increases the project price, understandably. Upon request, pricing per hour is available.
Prep Notes:
Defects which are structural in nature, or original builder issues, are not repaired unless requested. e.g. waves and bulges in drywall
Higher degrees of prep and paint, for a smoother finish, are available upon request.
